BRANDYWINE

Doug began his professional career at age 15 (1973 ouch!) as keyboardist/guitarist and lead singer for the band Brandywine (OK, the photo was taken at a 25th reunion gig in 2000). The band played the rough watering holes in coal mining communities surrounding Morgantown West (by God) Virginia until the summer of 1975. He had a short stint playing bass for The Wings of Judah, a Contemporary Christian Band when the genre was still in its infancy. The gig didn't last, but a seed had been planted in the soul of the hard partying rocker. Pictured from left: : Professor Bruce Mahin-bass, Ben Stout Phd-drums, DB-guitar & vocals

MALCOLM TALBOT

Malcolm Talbot came together in 1976 and was quickly embraced by both the college music scene at West Virginia University and the biker bars on the other side of the tracks. The band attracted legions of loyal fans largely due to their dynamic stage presence. Their musical style fused heavy metal, glam rock, and classic rock with the occasional nod to Mozart. LOBOTOMY BROTHERS LOBOTOMY BROTHERS

A move to the Northern Gulf Coast of Florida in 1982 found a lonely rocker without a gig. Fort Walton Beach was a small beach town with a plethora of quality musicians content to play the local bars. Doug stumbled into a gig playing keyboards and bass for the infamous Lobotomy Brothers. The R&B band was a lively group of defense contractor-engineers with a rather intense following. The gigs were memorable and members of the band still gather on occasion to jam and quaff. A few of the Lobos came together in 2003 to perform at the grand opening of the Okaloosa Island Convention Center. BILLY & DOUG

Doug spent most of the 1990s performing with a variety of local talent as a duo with MIDI accompanyment. Most notable was the pairing of DB with multi-instrumentalist wunderkind Billy Holmes (Vigilantes of Love, Love Tractor, and many other notable altenative Athens, GA bands). The two played a number of established Emerald Coast venues from Panama City to Pensacola and recieved the honorary title "Hash Minstrels" from the Emerald Coast chapter of the Hash House Harriers (ECH3). DnA DnA

DnA stands for "Doug and Al" and has nothing to do with deoxyribonucleic acid, the code of life. DnA is the musical collaberation of Doug and his pal Al DeJesus (pronounced "Jesus", not "Hesoos"). Another studio entity with ongoing projects as time permits. Al plays guitar and keyboards. Doug plays keyboards, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and programs all percussion. Al writes most of the music while Doug and Al's wife Cindy supply the lyrics.

ALL AMERICAN BLUES BAND ALL AMERICAN BLUES BAND

Doug joined the AABB in 2004 just to get out and play. The band was a featured act for the popular Blues on the Beach concert series held every summer in Pensacola Beach. Their appearances on the beach pavillion and "Boardwalk Shell" were noteworthy. The band's final appearance was blown away by hurricain Ivan.
